Pictured left is "After Matisse"
I am SO excited! Today is my birthday (I'm not generally coy about it but...well...it's a pretty big number) AND I received the "fat" email from the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA (www.whistlerhouse.org).
Two of my pieces were juried into "From Fine Art to Fiber: Reinterpreting the Masters" exhibit August 4 thru Sept 4. The Artists Reception is Saturday, August 14 (2-4 if you'd care to pop by and say "hi"). I will make every effort to be there I can tell you!
The second photo is "Tide Pooling-After Audubon"
This is wonderful news, Diane. I am very excited for you. A great birthday present.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting into the show, Diane, and Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteLovely pieces and a lovely birthday present! How wonderful! I hope you have a very happy birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI followed you back from a comment you made on another's quilt in Amy's Blogger Quilt Show... your thumbnail captivated me... and now I know why. I absolutely love your quilts, and I love that at 69 they are not copies of our grandmothers... but alive, fresh, and new to 2010. At 55 I often feel out of step with most quilters but over my 30+ years of patchwork quilting I have learned to accept that I am marching to my own beat.... but its nice to see another that hears that cadence also...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful quilts... and Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday! And what a wonderful present! And so well-deserved! These pieces are just terrific, Diane -- perfect for the theme and the venue. Take pictures of the show for us, won't you?
